FOR THE FAMILY
The Zonzo Compagnie specializes in musical performances for children. After performances full of fantasy around Johann Sebastian Bach, Miles Davis or John Cage, he explores here the music of Henry Purcell.
A BELGO-QUEBEC TEAM FULL OF TALENT
AND JULIE CALBETE
In the center of the stage, a huge magic box, a large model of an old theater. A dream machine. When the curtains open, miracles happen. You have to see it to believe it: Zonzo Compagnie does everything to take you into a dream, a wonderful world for which Purcell wrote such beautiful music.
FAIRY QUEEN, KING ARTHUR, FUNERAL OF QUEEN MARY ...
What did Henry Purcell dream of? Did he sleep well at night? Did he even have time to close his eyes, he who composed hundreds of works? We'll never know. No letter on this matter has been preserved. But her music was. And it awakens the most magical fantasies. Purcell makes us forget time and space. A singer and two musicians make the colors and contrasts of Purcell's repertoire shine with a thousand lights. They conjure up one melody after another and take us along mysterious paths of the imagination.
